Lazika Böreği Diye Bir Tatlı Var

There is a dessert called Lazika Böreği.

How a Black Sea Classic Was Modernized

Those who know Laz böreği (a type of pastry) know its taste.
It's called börek, but it's a sweet treat. So sweetly soaked in syrup. Crispy on top, soft on the inside.
And of course, being from Rize is one of the sweetest paradoxes of the Black Sea region.

We took the spirit of this classic dessert, added a dash of humor, a teaspoon of innovation, and a cup of Lazika.
What was the outcome?
Lazika Pastry.

Modern. Light. A dessert that doesn't clash with sugar and pairs well with tea.

It's the same story every holiday:
Dessert after dessert, stuffed grape leaves after stuffed grape leaves.
The stomach is saying, "Hold on a minute!" but the host is saying, "Try this too!"

And that's where Lazika Böreği comes in:
Sweet as a dessert, but a little simpler, a little more delicate.
And of course, if there's a cup of strong Lazika black tea to go with it, the celebration is complete.

What makes Lazika Böreği special, in our opinion, is that it stays true to tradition while adding a touch of mischief.
Just like holiday feasts: both familiar and slightly different each year.

We have another surprise in Lazika this holiday:
Lazika pastry and a cup of strong black tea are on us.
If you stop by, the dessert is on us, the conversation is up to you.

Let's face it, some desserts are good for our souls, not just our stomachs.
Lazika Böreği is just such a dessert.
A little familiarity, a little novelty, and lots of conversation.

If you have a sip of tea afterwards…
That's when everything makes a little more sense.
