A Super Tea Story
We found protein in tea. We even found prebiotic fiber. Our goal is to find as much as can be found in tea! Fingers crossed.
We are very serious about this, dear friends of Lazika. You are the ones who are most aware of this. Every year we try to do what hasn't been done before. We are pursuing what hasn't been done not only in our country but also in the world. While doing this, we are trying to increase the added value of our products and the quality of our tea. This is very important for us. Lazika is located in Ardeşen, on the Fırtına River. As one of our friends put it, we are in a place that even shipping companies are afraid of when they hear our address. But our goal is to become a world tea originating from the Anatolian countryside.
Our Agenda from Last Year
Last year, our focus was on superfoods. Our so-called modern, yet excessively exhausting, lives force us to seek extra "benefits" even in the food and drinks we consume. For many people, it's not enough for a tomato to be fresh, pesticide-free, and delicious. We're after the lycopene in its peel. Would the world be a better place if there were more lycopene instead of more tomatoes? Of course, we're tea drinkers. Tea drinkers are sensitive beings. I can't say yes to that question. But I know that in the past, habits, taste, and perhaps enjoyment were the only factors influencing decision-making. But now, those aren't enough. At least not for many people.
The Values of Lazika
Dear friends of Lazika, as you well know, Lazika has three values: being natural, being delicious, and being beneficial. Of course, making a super tea that is both natural and delicious is not an easy task. But Lazika draws its strength from nature, its unique flora, and of course, the strong, hardworking women of the Black Sea region. We have created super teas that are as natural as possible.
Two Major Problems of Humanity
We wanted to address two of humanity's most important problems. What are they? One is the physical wear and tear caused by time, and the other is gut health. We understand tea, but we can't solve these problems with tea alone. But tea is essentially a blending process. A blending of goodness.
Natural Tea, Natural Products
After a short research and development process, two fantastic products emerged: Peptide Collagen and 100% plant-based fiber. Both are 100% natural, just like our tea. To be honest, we used collagen and plant-based fiber products from a brand that produces according to Lazika's values and is very successful in America and Europe.
Benefits of Collagen and Prebiotic Fiber
Peptide collagen is a fantastic heat-resistant, water-soluble dietary supplement. Collagen, which has a binding effect in the human body, unfortunately begins to be consumed in greater quantities than our bodies produce starting in our early 20s. Therefore, getting collagen support through food (and drinks) can be an important factor in maintaining normal skin, nail, joint, and hair health as we age.
Dietary fiber is also one of the best known sources of prebiotics. Prebiotics are important for our gut flora because they are the food source for probiotics.
How did we produce it?
So how were we going to combine these two precious natural nutrients in our tea? The trend is generally to combine all the elements inside the tea bag. However, we wanted to develop a production method that would increase absorption and therefore the effect of the tea. Our production team overcame this challenge and found a way to add Collagen and Fiber to our green tea during the green tea production process.
Conclusion: Super Teas
This allowed us to increase the protein and fiber content in a single sachet. Collagen and fiber were integrated with green tea. Then, our herbalist team worked on it. We investigated which herbs we could add to these blends to be more effective than collagen or fiber alone, and after 6 months, we settled on our current formulas.
Our Collagen and Prebiotic Teas
Our collagen-enriched green tea is accompanied by lavender, selenium, rosehip, orange peel, and hibiscus. Our prebiotic green tea contains fennel, chamomile, gunpowder tree bark, and vitamin D3.
Why is this tea so good?
Because one tea bag contains 301mg of fiber and 237mg of collagen. Green tea has over 15% polyphenols and over 42% extract. Our teas also contain the recommended daily dose of selenium and vitamin D3.
We will continue to create with hope, support each other, and do good.
