The mountain thyme used in the blend is harvested in season from the Kaçkar Mountains. A plant deeply rooted in the ancient highland pastoral tradition, it gives the black tea a fresh, thyme-like aromatic character. The full body of the black tea remains intact, while the aromatic notes bring balance and a smoother finish.

Only Lazika’s own black tea and natural mountain thyme are used in production. It contains no additives, flavorings, or extracts.

The sourcing of mountain thyme is part of Lazika’s commitment to supporting rural development and local producers.

Brewing Secrets

To make good tea, you first need good water.
• Use fresh, oxygenated water that hasn't been boiled too much.
• Boil the water, but don't let it boil vigorously.
• Pour the tea over the water, not the water over the tea (this is important).
• Turn the heat down and let your tea steep for 17 minutes.
• When the tea leaves settle at the bottom of the teapot, it indicates that your tea is brewed.
• We recommend using 30 grams of tea for 1 liter of water.
• And then? Enjoy! 🍃

To preserve the flavor, store your tea in a sealed container in a cool, dry, and dark place.
Tea easily absorbs moisture, which can shorten its shelf life.
